Hello, I came here through a link of the overgrown path blog, who made a nice posting about Lex van Delden. To be honest, OI always found his music a bit "muddy", but, perhaps you can convince me otherwise... A couple of larger soundclips, live recordings on youtube etc, would be nice for this website. Over the past few weeks great reviews of the "Complete String Quartets" album have continued to appear, including in "Gramophone" (Richard Whitehouse, April 2007) and "International Record Review" (Ivan Moody, April 2007), as well as on, among others, "Classical Source" (www.classicalsource.com), "Records International" (www.recordsinternational.com), "Klassik.com" (www.klassik.com) and "Tokafi" (www.tokafi.com). The latter website has also posted an interview with Lex van Delden's eldest son about his father.

The new Dabringhaus und Grimm release, entitled "Complete String Quartets" and recorded by the outstanding Utrecht String Quartet, augmented with Quirijn van Regteren Altena on double-bass, has already generated a number of excellent reviews, such as on "MusicWeb International", "Musical Pointers UK", "ClassicalCDReview" and "AllMusic".

The Double Action Harp Duo's new CD, entitled "Reaction", has just been reviewed on "Classical Source" (www.classicalsource.com): well worth reading, as is the website's review of the all-Van Delden chamber music CD, performed by the outstanding Viotta Ensemble and released on MDG.
